A Talk with Grind King
I called up Grind King Trucks to see what was going on with their new trucks for 2007. I was able to talk to Donald, the designer of all
Grind King Trucks.
Donald is extremely passionate about designing the best trucks for skateboarding. Almost
every innovation Grind King has put into their trucks has been copied. Some of these innovations include: The Grind King Kingpin (Grind King Kingpins are
designed to last 300 years), the no-slip axle, and the reduced weight axle.
The future of Grind King Truck design will include inputs from Grind King team riders. Future designs will include a more elegant looking truck that will
feature a design that will prevent bushings from blowing out.
One thing that a lot of skaters don't realize is that Grind King is one of the last truck companies to make skateboard trucks in America. The suprising thing is that
Grind Kings are not that much more expensive than other popular Chinese made skateboard trucks.
Note from the editor: Right now I am riding Grindking AXL Trucks. I really like them. They turn perfectly, they are really light and they
grind well. I usually skate Ventures, but for some reason I decided to throw on some AXLs and I have been pleasantly suprised. I suggest you
give em a shot.
