What Size Should I Ride?
7.5" width decks are great for young skaters with little feet. They are also well suited for technical skating where "flip tricks" are what you are doing a lot of.
7.75" width decks are the most common size purchased. They are the average for everything, from tech skating to big trick skating. It is by far the most well rounded size. However, it will be easier to kickflip a 7.5 vs. a 7.75".
8" width decks are not the widest, but the most common wide boards available. They are good for big ollies, grinds and slides. You will find yourself more stable on an 8" deck. Flip tricks will turn a lot slower, which can be more stylish.
