There should be a statue of John Cardiel somewhere in Norcal. For being a super nice, insanely good skateboarder. In my opinion he has accomplished skateboarding feats that no one can touch. Both in terms of hand rails and park skating.

In terms of rails, there is this brass colored hand rail in downtown San Francisco next to Union Square. I want to say it's a the Macy's department store, but I'm not quite sure. Anyway, he 50-50-ed that the hand rail there. The rail is nuts. It's super long, moderately steep, and empties out into one of the busiest intersections in SF. I think there is actually a huge poster of him doing this at the Vans Skate Park in Orange.

On top of that feat, he does these huge airs in bowls and parks. He skates super fast and takes on anything. There are really few skaters that have such a wide breadth of talent such as John Cardiel.
