Foundation Skateboards

$49.99
Foundation has been around for a while. I believe the originator of this brand is named Todd Swank. From what I recall, this brand started in the late 1980s with a little inspiration from Steve Rocco of World Industries.

Here is some valuable information. If you like to ride 8 inch skateboard decks, Foundation makes a great 8" deck. This is some tribal knowledge we have learned from our team riders and customers.

History

Tod Swank created Foundation back in 1989. He got a lot of support from World Industries owner Steve Rocco. Now Tod had already had already a little success from being a skateboarder and photographer. Tod invented the feeble grind. He started Foundation by selling his Harley Davidson motorcycle for five grand. It was a bit of a slow start for Foundation, but after 20 years Foundation has become a skateboarding staple.

Hello, I have just read over your review of foundation skateboards. I believe it would be helpful to somebody willing to try out foundation. However, if theres one negative thing I could say is that it doesnt offer any information about the technology in their decks, their team riders, or the current company in general. But I feel that the most helpful part of this page is the very first sentence where you stated they make a great 8" wide deck. A lot of people now a days are confused as to what size board they should purchase, and telling them in one easy sentence that foundation makes great 8" decks is very helpful in their decision making. But the fact that you included history from the early days of foundation is a good thing, everybody likes to know a little background from their favorite companies. Overall, I thought it was a decent review. With the addition of some information about the quality, standards, technology, and even team it would be pretty perfect in my opinion. Nice work. -Nate
