Plan B Skateboards

$49.99
Plan B Skateboards was originally formed in the early 1990s. The idea was to gather all the world's top pro skateboarders and form them into one team. They created a clever magazine ad that mentioned that they were going to "take" all the best pros from their current teams and place them on Plan B. The original Plan B professional skateboard team included: Colin McKay, Mike Carroll, Rick Howard, Pat Duffy, Danny Way, Sean Sheffey, Rodney Mullen, Sal Barbier, and Tony Ferguson.

Plan B was the creme of the crop back in the early 1990s. Plan B videos like Virtual Reality set the tone for future skateboarding videos (even to this day). Plan B was led by visionary Mike Ternasky who always pushed his team to increase the performance envelope to the next level. Unfortunately Mike died in a car accident in 1994.

Plan B Skateboards began to fade away in the mid 1990s. Danny Way and Colin McKay tried really hard to keep the brand alive and skate professionally during these dark years. They eventually pulled the plug on the brand in 1996.

Plan B started up again a few years ago and ran the same ad that was ran in the early 1990s. The ad mentions how the following professional skateboarders no longer ride for their own companies and now ride for Plan B: The new team includes Paul Rodriguez, P.J. Ladd, Ryan Gallant, Ryan Sheckler, Jereme Rogers, Danny Way, Pat Duffy, and Colin McKay. Notice three of the original team members are still on Plan B to this day.
