Eric Koston Skateboards
Wow. I am looking at this sequence of Koston doing a back nose blunt on the bricktown rail. Eric basically gapped out to that last portion of the rail to do this. Mind you Koston had to ollie over
the rail, turn 90 degrees and then plant the bluntslide. That is not easy. Oh yeah, bricktown is
this school in Santa Ana, CA. Don't go there. Unless you want to get stabbed and have your camera taken
away from the local gang.
On the next page is a picture of Eric Koston doing a nollie flip to the El Segundo 4-gap-4. I have
seen our own riders get torn up just trying to frontside flip that beast. It may not seem that big
but the real killer is the fact that the landing is downhill and you have to turn left immediately
after you land. Otherwise you go face first into this light post and/or a fence.
Eric Koston has a tendency to wait until the last minute to get his banger for the video. In Yeah Right
he landed his last trick at 4am before it was due to the editor. So the lesson here is that procrastination is ok as long as you come out kicking ass. Some people perform better under pressure.

Here is some crap I learned about Eric Koston: Eric Koston's best year was apparently 2000. That year Eric Koston won a world championship in Dortmund Germany, an amazing part in eS's Menikmati, a new home and a new car. Eric Koston does not have a hammer's list. Eric says that your imagination will fool you when you create a hammer's list. Eric Koston was at the 2000 Laker's final, five rows from the floor at center court. Koston's favorite trick is backside noseblunt slides (but this was quoted in
the year 2000). Yeah that's an easy one. psych.
