Spitfire Wheels - Spitfire Skateboard Wheels

I remember the day I was skating down this alley in 1992 and one of my Powell 55mm street bones wheels came off my board and rolled right into a gutter. Down to three wheels, I had to suck it
up and beg momz to take me to E.T. Surf in Hermosa Beach, CA to get me some new wheels. I remember her being irate over the fact that those Spitfires cost 20 something dollars for the set.
I chose some 52mm Spitfire Classics, hoping they would last another five years. And they did! Those Spitfires lasted until 1997, at which point I became involved in El Skate Shop and blank wheels were abundant around the shop. But those Spitfires where there during my crucial years of skateboarding development.
They didn't flatspot, and they didn't wear down too much, so I consider Spitfire a pretty good skateboard wheel.
Spitfire has come out with a series of wheels called "hardline". They are suppose to be true 101 durometer hardness. Spitfire is the longest running wheel company that we know of.
